Well, after working with Heffner Performance and fitting the TT upgrade and then rebuilding the engine and gearbox as well as mapping the vehicle we have finally got the car on the road. Its been a long haul due to a catastrophic failure of the kevlar clutch we purchased especially for this conversion which required a new gearbox rebuild and selector unit but I'm happy with the end results.
We have mapped the engine to boost from slightly later in the RPM range and then through the gears with full TCU software making this shift in an instant.
We ran at VMAX and the car did an initial 216mph on its first run but the gearbox was a limiting factor which is why we are building a new box with longer gears rated to 245mph.
We still have work to do to get it to how we want it and this will be done over the winter months as weather in the UK means no driving it from October to April but here is the initial image of the car.
