V10 or V12

Does anyone have any firm info on either of these engines?
When are they due out in the UK?
I have a deposit on both with my local Audi dealer but they don't know much, they're just happy to take my deposit!
They still say the V12 is happening, is that right?

Just spoke to the marketing dept at Audi UK and they said there is no confirmation from Germany that either cars will ever go to build!!
Any more info from you guys?

Suggest you speak the the R8 team......

You are correct in that there is no "official" confirmation. I'm sure the official confirmation will be when the vehicle is launched at whichever motor show.

UNOFFICIALLY, I have been informed the V10 5.2 is next, general views are launch this autumn and production in quarter 2 next year.

Kreso is a reliable source of info. No doubt he can confirm or correct me.

Dont know about the V12 but there are numerous vids of the V10 testing at the Ring, test mules given to customers etc so it is def coming. I would think around 520bhp.

I spoke to my Audi rep last week, who just returned from an Audi A4 training event in California, and he had a few details for me.
1. The V10 will be in the next car.
2. They will name it R10, like the race car.
3. Very limited production, due to release Q2 of 09'

This all sounds great to me since I have a deposit down on this model.

I only have two problems:
1. I will have to change my screen name here to reflect the R10.
2. Still undecided on what color I will choose!

Rumour has it the first Demo cars will arrive in May 09 and customers cars to arrive mid year(UK)

Here is a post from another forum by someone who visited the factory and saw that the V10s are already being produced I think we should expect an official launch fairly soon!
