    Audi Service Calls!??!

    Hi,

Any one had been called in the last times, by your dealer, for an service, in warranty, on your car?

Is there a list of the service calls and what they need to do when the car is in?

I went to the dealer last week because of a problem in my A6 and he told me that he just received an service call from Audi for the R8's, but he hadn't time to look into it.
Monday I will give him a call.

PS: My car didn't went to the dealer in 6 months, At that time it allready had the latests service calls done.

Note: I posted in the wrong section!!! You can move this to the general discusson section, Sorry!

The dealer told us they'll need the car for 3 days for some updates of some kind - I didn't take the call so not sure exactly what's involved as yet.

not yet as I've been unable to make plans to book it in as we've been snowed in for a few days and not sure when it's going to clear.

I've got mine going in for its annual service next week so I enquired about any recalls. I was told there is one for the aerial - the radio intermittently loses all stations and a software upgrade for the R-tronic. Even tho' they are a main R8 dealer in the UK they were obviously unsure what else there might be, they have never contacted me to tell me to bring the car in and they gave me 2 different prices for the fixed price service. Its £387 btw incl. VAT for a service after 1 year / 12000 miles.

I have talked with my dealer, and I saw with him at the computer the work details, and its a lot of work, alot of things to check, and the rear bumper have to be removed also for some R-tronic piece check.

    For what I know is:
    -Aerial problem
-Software upgrades for R-tronic, engine and radio
    -windows seals
    ....

Since my dealer is not a R8 dealer, he is arranging all things for my visit to the R8 dealer (only 2 in Portugal) only them have the parts needed for the service.
I've been told also that I have a rigth for a cortesy car (not know wich one will be) and the service will take more than 1-3 days, depending of the work to be done!

I asked my dealer if there were any upgrade notices or recalls on the '09 R8. My Vin# ends in 2562. He said there was nothing that needed to be done on my vehicle.

i've had to take my car in for over 4 months now. I just can't imagine one day without the car. My check engine came on at 3K miles, now I'm near 7K miles and still haven't taken it in.

I guess I better take it in immediately, within the next 3 months jk
