R8 V8 R-Tronic Chip Tunning by APR

Anybody yet done the APR Chip tunning (ECU remapping) on on V8 R-tronic. Is it noticeable in any performance range...? Thanks for oyur reply.....

Yes! Don't bother. A Tailwind makes more difference!

Thanks bz888..Is this from personal experience? i had someone who tried the Revo, wasdissapointed, then went to a german chip tuner, same results and finally he was only satiusfied with the APR one. Do you think there is a possibility it was rubbish at an earlier time and now they have updated it?

Maybe. I had mine done about 12 months ago. Cost me US$2000. Anyway, I'll wait for a supercharger option!!

APR auctioned off an ECM tuning package for any Audi or VW, at the Audi club Daytona event recently. I won it, got it for half price ($325 USD). But my dealer warned me that it would invalidate the warranty on the entire drive train. I also heard that early versions of the tune on an R8 were not that good - problems starting and running poorly. But they may have improved it by now.

So, I think I'll have them do my GTI instead. And it was good to support the club anyway.
