Can Beep upon lockup be deleted or changed to a different tone??

Yes it can be deleted.

I do not believe the tone can be changed.

I thought I posted this last night but I might have forgot to submit it.

Our car doesnt have the beep enabled from factory... Have you tried editing settings using the FIS/MFA? I thought I saw something to do with a beep in there but I could be mistaken.

Either way, if ours doesnt beep there must be a way to make your stop beeping.

My U.S. dealer says it's a safety issue. Too many lawsuits in America I guess.Safety is a major reason I purchased an R 8. I heard the Astin Martin DB7 was one of the safest in a crash. How does Audi compare , I wonder? I just remembered...On my window sticker it states that no R 8s had been crash tested as of yet !Frontal or rollover.

Good question...I guess we can rest safely after hearing the beep.So over on your side no beep? Personally I find this beep unneccessary.

DIS, thats what its called.

But yeah, its in the Euro spec menu... And desperado is US based and says it exists there so Im sure you can turn it off.
