Black radiators or silver?

Would a light coat of flat black heat paint on visible portions of radiator be that terrible ? I want a blacked out look .

As long as you don't put on enough paint to gum up the rad fins I don't think it would be a problem. Matte black is the best combo for radiating heat, giving you a cooler car (not just looks but temperature too). Just make sure the paint does not have metal flakes in it, or else the extra cooling benefit will be negated.
