revo technik result,,strange figures

ok,full day involved due to a revo update of their software and the results are

standard car figures....# Max power 414 bhp at 7800 rpm
# Max torque 317 ft at 4500 rpm

now I was told off as the car had a full tank of tesco 99ron petrol....'you should use optimax' and they want me to run this petrol out and fill it up with optimax and bring back for another go on the rolling road...but aside from that here are the figures.I have the graphs and will post up if anyone wants but not now as i'm knackered..

My car before tune up
max power 391 bhp at 7750rpm
max torque 298 at 4630 rpm

after tune up
max power 391bho at 6125 rpm
max torque 386 at 3138 rpm

Well I was obviously disappointed with the first figures falling quite a bit short of the claimed figures,and intrigued as to why the torque had such a huge leap and yet the bhp was the same.
All I can say is what a remarkable difference the tune up has made,the car now pulls like a train from much lower down,and in any gear,,now there is little need to change down to overtake...it feels a lot faster,so very pleased with the result on the road.
I will run the car on optimax and take it back for another run on the rolling road,but very happy with the actual driving change.

I will update the results after the next rolling road.

Does the software on the Dyno calculate the BHP? The highest measure whp I have seen on an R8 is 361. The 414 hp value is off of the flywheel...I think. There is some calculation or conversion ratio that converts WHP to BHP. This is true for torque also I was told. Someone with expert knowledge on this forum can provide accurate information on what your data really means.

Did they have to download your ECU code first before install?
Has your rev limit been increased(8200 plus)
Did you also purchase a select switch option.
Was it the most aggressive map install?
Do you have any other mods installed?

Are there ANY warranty violations involved here?? With Revo?? How much info does the diagnosis reveal to Audi?? Audi should be able to tell if rev limiter is bounced a bunch maybe even missed shifts?? Do missed shifts ever happen?? Probably not, seeing as there is that gate on the standards.

They had to download files from revo,not sure if they downloaded the ecu info.
Did not ask for the rev limit to be increased and not hit it yet to find out.
yes puirchased the select switch..but they take your data and send it to revo who then program the select switch for your car before sending it to you.
I have a milltek exhaust on.

Lucky for me here... my dealer has no issue at all with a Revo mod and will still provide a full warranty coverage.Very generous I must say.

My R8 man and I discussed info transparency at a bit of length and he stated that most Audi mechanics would not see it.
It is apparently quite a art to pick traces and you do specifically NEED TO KNOW what you are looking for.
It is not a situation where they plug in their diagnostic machine and alarm bells start ringing with big red letters flashing"warning mod" "warning mod"etc.

I am probably fortunate that I only ever have the workshop foreman work on my R8 and he enjoys the enhancement journey as much as me.

This guy once told the service manager(in front of me)that the long life oil(Audi approved)they use was crap and he would not be putting it into my R8.My sorta guy for sure.

Have you had yours dyno'd ? If so I would be interested in the results,as mine were so strange.

No..but probably a worthwhile idea with all the stuff I am throwing at it.

Will start checking out some dyno shops.

I appreciate it needs to go on a 4 roller but what I meant to ask was do some dyno's measure accurately drive train loss where others are somewhat calculated
