They already have 2 builds in the shop, more on the way and the word is; they will be amazing.

You are correct. Our TTR8's are well underway and we are very excited to be offering our Twin Turbo upgrades forthem. We are currently developing several levels of performance upgrades for the R8. I will post more pictures and information very soon.

Does anyone have direct experience with Heffner? All previous threads end up linking to more threads which don't really portray a company that I'd want to trust my car to.

I have known Jason personally and professionally for 5+ years.
I also know many of his customers.
I wouldn't have any reservations in sending a car to him for a twin turbo upgrade.

They also just completed this...

A twin turbo LP560 where on low boost (7 pounds) is throwing out numbers like 0-60 in 2.8 seconds.

This car will also be featured in a future Car and Driver magazine issue.



Of course, they have a long list of satisfied Ford GT, Viper and Gallardo customers.

I'd be interested in a TT just because of the looks, they beat a supercharger in looks hands down. Don't think I'd get it done on the R8 but would consider it on a Gallardo.

TCT, no offense, but you've just joined and your first post is promoting Heffner, and you yourself admit you have a personal relationship with the owner. I'm more looking for objective, unbiased opinions/feedback.

I just registered because I've been talking with Heffner about doing a TT R8 for a few months and I saw this thread. It's going to be hard to get long time members to chime in because there just aren't that many guys around with R8's, so fwiw at least here's my opinion. I had Heffner Performance TT my GT about 18 months ago and the car has about 18,000 miles on it. I've been really happy with the work and the car gets alot of exercise. It's been to Miller Motorsports Park several times, Gingerman raceway, road rallies in Nevada, Utah, down to the races in Indy, etc. It's been a great performing car and the system looks great.

In the interest of full disclosure, about 7 months later he turbo'd another GT I bought to sell at a Charity Auction we did in Las Vegas, where all told we ended up donating a bit over $251k to the Jerry L Pettis Memorial Center at the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital in CA.





The car on the left is also done by Heffner and we frequently road trip together. He's had multiple GT's done by HP.


From my own experience and that of many of my friends, all I can say is they do a great job finding the right blend of performance, reliability and appropriately understated eye candy. I have quite a few friends who have turbo'd multiple cars with Heffner Performance, so that's a good endorsement. I know they'll build you a drag car if that's what you're after, but I think building a high performance exotic car that doesn't change the essence of what the manufacturer intended is what they do best.

Thanks for that! A balanced ride is what I'm looking for. No issue during the build process? Those other threads were moaning about delayed cars, mix-matched parts etc.
