Exclamation I was embarassed to tell you guys...TIRES

Yes, 'cuz I purchased such a low cost tire. BUT the ratings are pretty good and I can give a good rating too. I will give a complete report-AFTER I do the canyon near me. This will be the TRUE test, as I have only been on the track with these tires,so far. Bummer I have to leave town for a week or two before I can do the final test. HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVOs...245/35 ZR 19and 305/30 ZR 19(with my 10mm spacers-WOO HOO!) They cost 700.00 shipped and all. I figured I might be hard on tires (I WAS) and why waste the PS2s. The big question is will I get Hankooks again? I did heat cycle the tires emmediatly after install, let them sit 48 hours and then went to track. They felt GREAT at 145 mph on 5 freeway.(when it ws safe.) There are plenty of FAST stretches near and around BAKERSFIELD, where Buttonwillow is. While the other students were in the classroom, I was out on the track getting the best instructions from the best instructor, John Deenihan. The head organizor who also owns an R8, Big Terry, sat with me for some skid pad tests,I didn't even notice his 3 or 5 hundred extra pounds. And Terry sat with me through some slalom exersizes too, and I didn't notice a thing. Maybe I'll consider dating a thick chick now. I am still exited from these track days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harrison, personally I think you are mad putting hooky tires on an R8 ! and in England ' a thick chick' has different connotations ;-)

Just googled Thick chicks in the U.K. Means Stupid. No I mean chicks that aren't so skinney. Over here we have the saying-"THICK HEADED" which is like LL who is sticking to his guns , that the Sprint Booster is USELESS and a WASTE of money. Only after researching the GOOKIES really well, did I make my MAD decision. I surely did'nt want to look the fool at the track. THIS IS WHY I WENT WITH THE WIDER SIZES TO BALANCE THE ADVANTAGE OF THE BETTER PS2s. MORE RUBBER ON THE GROUND COULD"NT HURT...RIGHT?

Oi H, I never said it was useless! just doesn't do anything you can't do with your foot. Waste of money ? Well yes it would be to me, but how you waste....err spend your money is entirely up to you

Oh and sticking to your guns in the UK is stubborn not thick

Oh and chicks with meat are a good thing
