    v8 with exhaust/ECU reflash

I was wondering if anyone has this combo on the v8 and if there is a noticeable difference? What would be the hp/tq gains say using stais or millitek exhaust with one of those ECU companies?

Psifi, I have an '08 R 8 (V8) and it has a Miltek. Should I get the free Audi dealers' reflash or the oemPLUS purchased reflash. I have been offered a free trial version flash too. But it's all seat of the pants unless I see dyno results. Shifts won't be improved from the 90 m.s. will they? I also have the R-Tronik transmission. Thank-you .Search is OUR freind.

Hi guys, I have an 08 V8 R8 with Milltek exhaust and remap done by APS tuning in Northants. The sound is great and the reflash helps torque in the mid range and in higher gears at low revs. In terms of how noticeable or measurable it is I really have to say its hard to pinpoint as with normal aspiration there is only so much you can do. I did the exhaust mainly for sound which is fabulous and the cost to reflash was minimal so I figured it was worth it.
Go for the non-resonated Milltek if you get it. Slightly louder but more noticeable difference than stock and on the road at speed not too loud. It lets people know you're coming though!

    Maverick,

What was the cost fitted of the Milltek non-res exhuast? and the remap please? Milltek are in the final stages of development of the V10 exhaust which i will hopefully be having fitted.

I have the milltek exhaust with the revo technik re-programme and it is sublime.
Massive improvement in mid range pull, and extra 250 rpm at the top end, veryu noticable improvement in performance.
I came into the r8 from a 997 turbo and prior to that an M6 and the r8 seemed slow (relatively speaking) ,after the remap (i had the exhaust done first..which improved the sound but little else) the car seriously flies. My friend had an rs6 which used to pull on me all the time, now with the remap if anything I now have the edge.
I was going to buy the v10 but it would have cost me £50k to change, for the £2k the exhaust and remap cost me I now have a car that has as much useable speed as one can need (in the UK) .
I have had a lot of nice fast cars, but this is the best money I have ever spent on a car..it is also the best car I have owned by a distance and that is saying something .I still get a buzz every time I look at it,climb in it and drive it ...and it never goes wrong Unlike pretty much every other high performance I have owned.

Frnkie68, thanks for that info, £2k seems very inexpensive, who did the work for you? and idea on how much more power it gave you? Cheers
