Hi

i am looking for some wheels for the r8 as i have done some nice kerb damage to most of them and I need a full set of tyres anyway,so thought I might either get some new ones or a set in mint condition form somone who has changed their wheels.So any wheels yo have you dont want or any reccomendations apprecited (nothing too expensive though and ideally I want to keep them at 19 inches)

How did this kerb damage occur in the first place?

If you get a new set is it likely that the same will happen to them too? In which case as mentioned above it would make sense to get your existing wheels refurbished.

Refurb...already done in thepast,the wheels have to be diamond cut,but what happnes is the edge is small so when they cut,they are in effect cutting the wheel which means you can only maybe refurb the wheel once (which I already have done) damage is kerbing ,I drive and park my car everywhere so alas wheels come in for some grief .
JUst need to replace tyres,but that will cost maybe £1000-1200 but I can buy a set of 20 inchers with 325 on the rear for £1700 which seems good value.Any differnece to ride or handling by putting 20 inchers on ?

Make sure you put the right tyres on .. there is a thread on here what is required.

I am in the same position, my car is used everyday to go everywhere and the wheels just get damaged.

Kahn have 2 sets of wheels just for the r8,20 inchers...quite reasonable,but kahn wheels are a bit premiership footballerish.
Otherwise there is a place called project x or project wheels they do some nice 20 inchers not too expensive.
