New Spoiler. Do I need front spoiler also?

Question/help: I just put the Hofele spoiler on my car. It is VERY mild compared to Harrison's spoiler. See photos.

I am going to track my car May 1st and 2nd. Do I need additional aerodynamic work on the front? The roads in MN are terrible. I don't know if I can be any lower and drive the car on the streets here, but I don't want to lose control at 160 MPH because I don't have enough down force.

Your new spoiler looks great, but it is not significantly larger than the OEM setup. You will not feel any difference.

Also remember that the R8 is very very predictable. Any overall setup instability on the track comes on slowly and lets you know it at slower speeds. Feel the car. When going 130+, if the car does not feel firmly planted with the tarmac, then do NOT try for more speed. Listen to what the car is telling you. Don't be in a hurry to experience the car's ultimate performance envelope. Work up to this point slowly, and make sure you get a real feel for the car as you progress towards the car's limits.

Re: New Spoiler. Do I need front spoiler also?

Thank you for the feedback. I have only tracked my R8 once before at BIR. The speeds I achieved on the straight away was over 154 mph ( I could not take my eyes off of the track after glancing down at this speed. It seemed like things were coming at me very quickly at this speed.) so I want to make sure I can still steer at this speed. I really want to keep the shiny side up and be on the track the entire time.
