    Re: Air Filters

Carbonio and EVOMS are the only other brands right now but if you want BMC filters then PPI is the only one.

    Re: Air Filters

I have the EVOMS intake and I have been happy with it... Stasis is coming out with a manifold intake system that should be interesting... I think the PPI/Carbonio are extremely expensive....

I don't see filters for the R8 on BMC?.......... Amen..... PPI/Carbonio are just not worth it. Hopefully Stasis will deliver something soon.

    Re: Air Filters

You guys can adapt any filter to work. PPI used BMCs in their kit. The crucial parts are the manifold adapters. Once you have the correct adapter you can order up any filter you want. A good fabricator could cut/chop/rebuild the stock filter manifold to accept a reusable/cleanable filter. Pics of a stock filter would enlighten...will post soon. \"/

    Re: Air Filters

That is the dilemna. The cost of the adapters FAR exceeds the cost of a pair of filters. Remember, K&N filters are U.S standard, and the BMCs are Italian metric sizes. You are pretty much stuck with buying a kit. When I purchased the PPI kit, it was exclusive to PPI. Now there are many copies to choose from. \"/

    Email I got from Stasis

    Hi Shawn,

My name is Kristoff Barnes – STaSIS Area Manager for SoCal – Tifani forwarded me your information.

Were you looking for a specific product for your R8 or interested in learning about our complete packages? We’re actually putting the finishing touches on our R8 Signature Series Touring and Challenge Edition kits as we speak.

The packages are incredibly comprehensive: ECU, wheels/tires, suspension, brakes, exhaust, intake manifold, floor mats…oh, and of course the peace of mind of preserving your factory warranty. Dollar for dollar, you’d be hard pressed to find a better price for performance value on the market.

    Re: Air Filters

Does that mean us Carbonio users are stuck if Carbonio disappears?

    Ian,
how would you be stuck? Doesn't the Carbonio products come with the adaptors? if so, then its just a regular K&N filter at the end.
