hi everyone,
Recently i was debating on which tires to get, and initially decided on the Yoko's. But I decided to try out the Hankook's especially since they were so inexpensive. Here are my thoughts on them, while driving home from Niagara Falls NY to Toronto. 245 in front and 305's in rear.
1. The sidewalls are softer then the stock pirelli's. I definately felt the difference immediately.
2. Quieter, but i noticed in 6th gear at 3000 rpm's there's a whistling noice. Harrison, you might know what I'm talking about. Ever be in high gear (5-6th) in the R1, and at low RPM's you just turn the throttle. You get that whistling noise from the engine/carbs.
3. side to side manuevering was very squirmmy (apex). I think this was due to the soft sidewalls.
I'm probably gonna raise the PSI (at 36 i think) and hopefully it'll change a little.
A few more days in the car and I can come to a conclusion if I should have tried something else.
