    Rip off!

Just recently added the Stasis intake, ECU flash and exhaust to my 2009 R8. Much to my surprise, Stasis claimed my original intake without ever disclosing. Not sure how I will handle at this time, but never planned on losing any of the original parts. They indicated they'd sell it to me for $3000. Ok....they're going to sell MY core back to ME for $3000. What the ^#*~?!

Just for the record, folks at Stasis were pleasant....just blown away this is never disclosed or discussed prior to install.

The core price is right in their price sheet, http://www.stasisengineering.com/aud...lpricelist.pdf
Price for Stasis manifold is reasonable and it's because they require your stock manifold to make them out of

If anything they ripped me off... No core charge when going with supercharger but they only gave me $500 to buy stock manifold, I should have charged them more

Excellent improvement! Had the exhaust prior to the intake and flash upgrade and noticed a bit of improvement then. Now with all three, a very noticable change....quite pleased. Going to VIR in a couple of weeks....can't wait to compare performance to other weekends there.

I was about to settle on just getting the Stasis exhaust and ECU upgrade, but hearing your comments about the intake manifold has me interested in getting the full HPPF kit.

Can you elaborate on the difference you feel with the car now that you've got the intake done as compared to when you just had the exhaust?

    Thanks!

    Re: Rip off!

And here's the other weird thing...I just talked to my Audi dealer (an authorized Stasis vendor/installer) and they told me I get to keep all the original parts.

    Strange.

    Strange.
More likely is they are misinformed. $3k core charge is not small change.
