    REAR laser blinder install

Does anyone have the rear sensors installed on their car? Specifically V10 owners? I have the Laser Interceptor installed on the front, but there are lots of reports of cops hitting people from behind now and I need to be protected.

I was thinking of installing within the top black glossy horizontal diffuser section (which may have to be cut out a tiny bit so the sensors can fit snugly in), but am wondering where in god's name the wires will run and how they will penetrate into the engine compartment and through the bulkhead to get into the passenger compartment to connect them to the controller that is currently under my dashboard. I plan to have it pro installed, but wanted to get some prelim info.

I'm planning on an install soon and will do it on the bottom part of the retractable wing, at both ends.

When the wing is closed they are hidden, and when the wing is open they are exposed.

Care to post a picture where you got your units on the front end?

It might get tricky heat wise, we'll see. I'll post pictures once its all done and ready.

i spoke to the company and i'll be installing the rears just below the tailights- basically hidden from view yet at the optimal angle. the units on the LI are quite small. doing them under the wing is ingenious, no doubt, but the install will have to be perfect to ensure that they remain level while the wing is open. heat vents out of the wing significantly too so silicon epoxy enclosure will be needed. in all a very stealth install but will be technical for you.

my fronts are installed in the topmost row of the front grille in the outermost positions. pretty straightforward. had them tested independelty and they work perfectly.

Yes, its going to be tricky and challenging, but fun. I ordered the "slim" LI units which are very small indeed.

I have a feeling heat in these areas is still lower than where you are planning to install them, which is very close to the exhaust box if I got it right.

actually the first segment just below the tailights is shielded from the engine (as is the third and lowest). the one in the middle is the only one open. on the other hand, the wing itself is a direct part of the heat vent system for the engine. neither locale is exactly cool.
