Hi Guys
Not that I will be doing this but ive seen a V10 engine for sale for around $13,000. I wonder how big a job it would be to install in a V8, may end up being cheaper than a supercharger or twin turbo?

Don't forget about the uprated cooling system parts you might need to change but who knows, maybe its a pretty easy job all in all...
A much simpler solution, although expensive, is fitting a supercharger/turbos on the the current engine, it's probably a better route as it has much less unknowns.
Anything is possible, but I think the cost would be similar to doing a S/C install once you include the uprated cooling systems, electronics, etc...

What about things like engine mount locations, wiring harness(es), ECU...? I have no idea how similar the two installations are, but after the cost of the engine, plus labor, I just can't imagine how expensive a swap could get.
Just to satisfy my curiosity I'd love to know the answers to this
Hehe that's why I asked as turbo and supercharger options are just too expensive
Of course you could do it You can almost anything if you have the cash and time.
As long as you was going to put a audi v10 in a audi v8 doubt it would be too hard.
I mean I'm planning on putting a RB25DET(skyline engine) in my 200sx Its not a big problem at all hardest part is getting the running gear but means audi already do a v10 all the parts are available.
I would be interested to try it
How different is the Rs6 v10 twin turbo engine?
I looked in to the super charger/turbo kit but came out at huge money I will admit the price stasis for the full kit gave me was great.
but when I worked out what was needed, I priced it up too twin turbo the v10 would be looking at £5k - £12k depending on turbos used. But I can do a lot of the work myself and know a great mapper but would need a new ecu.

It's annoying that any stupid little mod or part costs double or triple than what it would otherwise cost, just because this is an R8
