    MTM R8 V10 Bi-turbo.

    MTM twin turbo R8 V10

    Yet another chrome R8.

    http://www.motorvision.de/artikel/bl...urbo,7445.html

    Extremely poor translation:
It crystallizes more and more out: The motor show Geneva in 2011 (from the 3rd to the 13th March) becomes the spectacular achievement show. Especially the tuners pull hard in the Lac Léman hard and swing mutually in almost quite ill HP regions on. Completely in front, besides, is MTM: The boys of Motoren-Technik-Mayer show Audi R8 V10 Biturbo. In spite of his outfit which reminds engine show shown R8 GTR in from the big competitor abbot Sportsline on the last food this racer is anything but a dazzler. On the contrary: Figures-technically he puts the rival from Kempten clearly in the shade and presents, besides, prestige-laden schnapps figures on the data sheet: With 777 HP and 888 Nm the MTM R8 retreats clearly from the abbot counterpart. He brings it on "only 620 HP and 560 Nm.

Turbo-Punch instead of cubic capacity pressure

Okay, so really fairly is not the comparison, because while the abbot R8 GT R scoops his power only from cubic capacity and speed, the MTM comes to the pleasure of a double turbo-loading. Unusually: In comparison to Original-R8 V10 speckt of the MTM in the matter of cubic capacity from. From 5.204 cubic centimeters it goes under it on that 4.991. Nevertheless, the explanation of it is as simple as amazingly: Mayers men have caught to themselves a V8 model and have substituted for his engine with the Biturbo aggregate from the RS6 which has been inflated of course once again according to all rules of the art. About a six way transmission the raw forces reach to all four wheels. And this so been able to do that the MTM R8 V10 Biturbo shoots from a standing position in only three seconds at tempo 100. The racer has not reached the sighted top speed-purpose of 360 km/h, nevertheless, yet. With the first test in Nardo 347.6 km/h stood for him to beech.

The probably most expensive mirror of the world

However, also this value is settled by absolutely vertiginous heights – exactly like the price of the brilliant piece: MTM wants to have about 400,000 euros for his quick mirror. In MTMs the second Geneva highlight one comes there more cheap. Of the indeed "only 472 HP, but at least 312 km/h quick TT RS from in the inhabitants of Ingolstadt neighborhood beheimatetenTuningschmiede costs only 84.166 euros.

The view from the rear with that wing reminds me of the Noble ~M12 GTO.

    * MTM at the Autosalon 2011 in Geneva - hall 5 / booth no. 5140
    * World premiere: Polished MTM R8 Biturbo - more than 1.200 working hours
    * MTM TT RS with 472 hp / 347 kW

MTM from Wettstetten will be represented at the Autosalon in Geneva from the 3. - 13. March 2011 with two cars. In hall 5 MTM, car manufacturer and upgrading specialist, presents not only technical details and masterstrokes but also a visual highlight, which lets the exhibition hall shine in the truest sense of the word. The MTM R8 Biturbo with 777 hp / 571 kW and a top speed of more than 350 km/h was highly polished by MTM , this unique specimen with a worth of over 400.000 € was depainted completely in a special procedure and the aluminium chassis was polished in more than 700 working hours - all handmade . As well to see at the Autosalon: the MTM TT RS in the MTM design with 472 hp / 347 kW, which reached a top speed of 312 km/h at first test drives in Nardo.

    MTM R8 V10 BiTurbo
The details of the highly polished MTM R8 V10 Biturbo, for which MTM also promises a registration for Germany: Performance upgrade to 777 hp, 888 Nm torque and a top speed beyond the 350 km/h. MTM also expects best acceleration values:

    0 - 100 in 3,0 sec
    0 - 200 in 9,37 sec
    0 - 300 in 19,42 sec

The test drives on the highspeed track in Nardo in South Italy in September last year showed that the car can be moved in a sporty way also under extreme conditions, full load drives and extreme temperatures. MTM uses a coil over kit with adjustable suspensions, 20" forged rims in the Bimoto design and MTM brakes 380 x 34 mm dimpled with 8-piston calipers at the front and rear axle.

The V10 Biturbo engine was already tested successfully in the RS6 with up to 740 hp / 544 kW and a top speed of 362,5 km/h in Nardo.

Real uniqueness you can also find at the design: The paint of the R8 was completely removed and highly polished in over 700 working hours. The plastic attaching parts have been replaced by carbon parts or with a special paint polished. An adjustable rear spoiler and a front lip out of carbon improve the aerodynamic and stabilise the car. The interieur leather shows that MTM Individual has a perfect design.

    MTM TT RS
Power output (max.): 472 hp (347 kW) at 7000 rpm
Torque (max.): 600 Nm at 4400 rpm
    Acceleration 0-100 km/h: 3,9 s
    Top speed: 312 km/h
Brakes: MTM brake VA 380 x 34mm, dimpled, 8-piston calipers
Wheels: 20'' MTM Schmiederad im BIMOTO Design

    Thumbs up Re: MTM R8 V10 Bi-turbo.

Where might the side skirt scoops lead air to?? It seems to be fitted to a V10 skirt. Similar in design to Bodhiis prototype.'Cept Bods' skirt is a V8.

I'm still curious to see what Heffner and Underground do with their TT builds before I think we can definitively give them the "Fastest R8 in the world" title. But still - MTM builds amazing machines and I love this one!

    Re: MTM R8 V10 Bi-turbo.

I've seen pics of so many chrome R8s lately that I'm starting to like them! What I like most about this car is the way they deleted the black bumper in the front grill. I'd love to see what they did to the interior on this car. I also wonder who ends up owning these specialty cars? And where are they driven? London? Monte Carlo?

I think it was a crude translation done by a robot, not a person, hence the weird language.
