    Reedy,
Please do the following two things:
    1) Add your location in your profile. It helps being that the R8 varies from market to market.

    2) Please do not start two threads of the same subject/topic. One is sufficient. I have merged your two threads together into this one.

    Thank you.

Use a Braille Carbon Fibre Battery if you only drive your car 2-3 days per week and use trickle charge over night.

bz888, why 'if you only drive your car 2-3 days a week' ? is the battery unfit to run every day or are you talking about the hassle of connecting the trickle charger every time?

Its a race bred battery, super light BUT not as much capacity as OEM!
So, you just need to be careful with it.
The battery will go flat if car is not used for 4-5 days.
I suggest you keep your R8 on trickle charge if you don't drive much.

Is it fit for daily driving? Depends. For me, I check battery voltages, manage power requirements and generally keep an eye on things, so if you trickle charge every night she's fine as Daily Driver.

Just want to convey the message that this option DOES have some trade-offs that you must be aware of.
