Fuel Cell?

Hey all - I'm new to the forum and just ordered a V10 Spyder. Has anybody installed a fuel cell in an R8 for long-distance driving? Any luck? Thx

Not sure about the spyder, but the coupe has a 28 gallon fuel tank I believe. That's pretty significant for a sports car! Welcome to the forum!

I believe the coupe has a 23 gallon tank, not 28. But, that said, I did a google search and see that Audi offered a larger tank (at least in Europe) of 90L.

The Spyder's tank is smaller - I think Monkeyboy said 15 gallons.

GregR, please put your location in your profile, as it helps with certain answers. The R8's sold in many markets and there are differences among the markets.

My V10 came with a 90L tank, and the way I drive it, I really need the capacity

The Spyder has only a 80 L tank

90 Liters = 23.77548473735663 Gallons
80 Liters = 21.133764210983674 Gallons
This is the US gallon as opposed to the imperial gallon commonly used in the British Commonwealth.
