    V8 feel after tuning

I am just about to tune my v8 with a map, miltek exhaust and upgraded intakes. Im told realistically with these mods i will get about a 30-40 bhp increase and i was wanted to ask the people that have done similar mods if you feel a difference after and if so how much of a difference? is it a different car?
    Thanx.

Search around, I believe a few members say the PPI intakes are worthwhile. Search will also yield results concerning remap and in regard to exhaust discussions here, they tend to be about sound rather than any performance gains.

Where are you having this done, Awesome GTI? Which map and intakes are you considering?

Id say 20-30bhp is more realistic.

I think 20-30bhp is optimistic, anything beyond that is wishful thinking just from exhaust & intake.
ECU is minimal to hp gain, esp. for manual 6-speeds, generally for NA engines a remap just improves response and throttle.

    Re: V8 feel after tuning

On the V8 gains are somewhat limited in raw Hp but they do increase the feel of the R8 and make it a sharper more exciting car to drive.

Others might disagree but I loved the Sprintbooster I had fitted along with these combo's.

    A lot of fun.
