need a quick Radar detector fix. DOnt want to do and install- What is best option?

I did a search and in short looks like the Escort Passport 9500ix Radar Detector is the detector of choice.

I cant start drilling on my new car right away and need to get some protection now.

    Any experience?

There was no drilling necessary on my car to install the radar detector. This one seems like a good choice. It's the little brother of the STi-R plus that I installed and I'm really happy with mine.

No need for drilling. I'm pretty much useless when it comes to doing things but I did this in about 15 minutes and was very easy. First order a hardwire cord and visor clip, I hate having a detector on my windshield. Just use a something like a Popsicle stick to push wire into trim along top then down window pillar to the floor on passenger side. The R8 has a fuse panel under passenger side foot well and very easy to tap into a power wire there. Then for the mute button just run the wire under trim and Velcro it into the cubby near radio. If you can't do it I'm sure you could find someone to do it for you.

I did the same thing with a V1, still my favorite due to the direction arrow. I also like the option of quickly hiding the thing if I do get pulled over. Will

+1 I have the same setup. Very easy install and the stealth/coverage is good enough for me (now).
