performance upgrades, what do i do first?

    Hey Guys,

I want to add some more power to my 2011 v10 coupe, what do you recommend? I am looking for a good place in the so cal/los angeles area to do the work, whatever i do i want to make sure it doesn't void my warranty.

I think intake/exhaust/chip from stasis would be a good start or should i just go for it and add the supercharger too?

STaSIS is the way to go to avoid warranty issues. However, all that will set you back 30-35k.

Supercharger is the ultimate if you want to spend big..

A ECU and Exhaust on the V10 will make a lasting impression

I am still to be convinced that filters actually make any increase in performance

It ultimately will depend on your budget, but without a doubt the APR ECU upgrade makes a huge increase in power. Normally aspirated engines typically do not offer very large increases in power with only software unless significantly detuned from the factory. We always have some room to go up in power, and have the ability to play with other aspects of the calibration to make the driving experience a little more enjoyable, but the range of adjustment is typically limited compared to forced induction engines.

When it comes to the R8 V10, we were very lucky. Audi chose to detune the R8 V10 by essentially restricting airflow into the engine. This is more than the normal 'detuning' I mentioned above. Audi did this so they could offer higher end models later down the road (R8 GT anyone?). Anyone know why the Lambo makes so much more power? The answer is the ECU! As soon as we got our hands on an R8 V10 we noticed what Audi did right away and go to work porting over the Lambo software and tuning even further. We spent a considerable amount of time fine tuning everything before unleashing a new beast to the public.

Here's a customers before and after dyno, AT ALL 4 WHEELS, back-to-back, stock-vs-APR tuned:

We are very happy with the results.

You can try it out for 30 days and if you don't like it, we'll return you back to stock, no questions asked. Since all we need to do is plug into your diagnostics port, it's a quick and easy upgrade that leaves no traces behind. When you bring your car in for service and a dealer plugs in while in the garage, everything will look exactly the way it was before you were calibrated.

And since you mentioned Los Angeles, I'd highly recommend EuroCode Tuning which is right down the road in Torrance.

The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
