    Question First Mods

New (09) R8 owner and have read through several threads on different mods and opinions on same. This R8 had no mods so my question; is there a "must do" list of mods? What should be the first few? I know there will be multiple thoughts on this but as I have no knowledge of these, your answers would be very helpful.
Great Forum, enjoy the multi-national diversity.

First mod I have done on all my cars was exhaust. It's a mod that you can enjoy all the time at any speed, makes every drive so much more fun. Another one I do quickly is steering wheel, another thing that you can enjoy constantly.

sounds like a plan, thanks. Does the Stasis exhaust have any drone at normal cruise speed?

I usually do an exhaust, or set of wheels. OEM rarely ever meets my expectations in either department personally. Window tints is also a must!
At the end of the day, it all depends on your your wallet. You can start by dropping 30k plus right off the bat with a STaSIS S.C. and exhaust.

Must do, could do and should do ... the categorization for each is a very individual choice. But frankly it is hard to go wrong with the MACarbon + Stasis option in your sticky paw. Just close your eyes, forget the running total and hope that you have enough precious metals to underwrite it all.

First I ordered a Macarbon Steering wheel with the extended paddle shifters, if you have a rtronic, next tubi valved exhaust, so I totally agree with the guys above, its a good start.

Just got a shipment in from europlus R8 Gt wheel, Shift Nob, Rear Lights, alacantra knee pad and break handle.

And sending car in for apr tune and I think that should pretty much cover it.

It has been my experience that this exhaust is rather loud. It is a quality piece but I would only recommend it if you really like to hear the engine sound opened up and the attention that it brings.
