EVOMS Intake: Dry alternative to K&N filters

Just in case anyone else was looking into a "dry" alternative to the K&N filters that come with most, if not all, aftermarket intake kits I recommend giving AFE Pro Dry S filters a try. I had mine custom made to spec and I have to say I am very impressed with the fit & finish.

The K&N filters were pushing up against the plastic guide rails in the airbox and enough to create a "bulge" on the airbox wall, which bugged the crap out of me.

My new AFE filters, sit very nice and snug now...and best part: I don't need to deal with the hassle of oiling & the rapid buildup of gunk anymore! And zero risk of oil particles messing with my MAF sensors.

Very easy DIY and no trimming, squishing, forcing etc. Pics of it installed:

yes they r, but I'm running BMC for over 8 years on various cars (Porsche, BMW, Audi ) and never seen a problem with the air mass sensor

imho, that's a ridiculous price just for filters and a few extra ponies you probably won't even feel

Re: EVOMS Intake: Dry alternative to K&N filters

BTW, I went with cone filters vs cylindrical because the EvoMS intake kit came with cone filters, and I just made the assumption the billeted venturis were probably optimized for cone filters instead.

The PPI intake kit does not have the venturis, just a generic plastic adapter.

    EvoMS billet aluminum venturis:
