    STaSIS supercharger and Heffner Dual Turbo?

    I am currently in the market for a 2012 R8 V10 with R-Tronic and all the extras and am looking to break the 200 mph mark with ease. I am, at this point, leaning towards the Challenge Extreme Edition offered by STaSIS engineering but have also seen the Heffner Dual Turbo Kit as well. Is it possible to put both kits on the same R8 V10 and also would I want to switch to a Manual Transmission to possibly swap out the transmission for something with a little better Gearing for over 200 mph.

    At the same time?!?
    You wouldn't want to. Either kit is already capable of making more boost, but the 12.5:1 compression engine is limited in how much you can give it.
    There are a couple of bottom-up R8 rebuilds underway (TT, similar to what has been done in the past on the Gallardo) which are predicted to have huge power, but I haven't heard of any seeing the light of day, yet.

    I'm not aware of anyone making gear sets for the Audi R8. Since it's the same box as in the Gallardo, perhaps there are gearsets available in that arena?
    As explained in the FAQ, both the manual and R-tronic are exactly the same core transmission. So if there were alternate gears available, you could put them in either transmission.

    Redo the valve train so that the engine can rev to 9K and you'll have a top end more than 200. No gearing changes need be made this way. The car will already do 190 at 8250K, so another 750-1000 rpm will take you over 200 mph.

    Underground Racing is doing a 1000 whp twin turbo system for the V10 also. Might be something to look into if you're serious about these ideas. There was a recent post of a You-tube video of the UR vehicle.

    Hello,

    We can certainly help you achieve your power goals with the V10 R8. We also have gear sets in stock which reduce the engine's operating rpm by 25% in every gear. This will raise your top speed to around 250 mph. In addition to the raised top speed it will make the car a bit more liveable if you tend to do a lot of high speed highway driving.

    Ha, that's the (R8) spirit. And whilst you are bolting in the TT, throw out everything that doesn't make you go faster and you might want to upgrade the seatbelt whilst you are fettling.

    Anyway, heading downhill and downwind helps get me to the 200mph every time.

    Yes I am serious about this build, I'm looking to build the most powerful/fastest R8 in the World mostly because I highly admire Audi and Lamborghini Engineering and just because my passion is racing cars and the faster and more powerful the car, the better for me.
