I can't imagine one being lighter than the other (at least nothing considerable).
PPI is great quality, but OEM is, well.... OEM. Quality and fitment can't be matched i.m.o.
F.W.I.W., Vorsteiner makes great quality, and fitment is great as well.

ppi is plug and play for fitment, the full carbon fiber diffuser gives you weight savings of a couple grams but also a nicer look with the added fins, which are wind tunnel proven for added flow...I had the kit on my R8V8...it's a shame that they won't fit the V10..I would have put the diffuser back on there..
