Thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2015 R8 v10 with CCBs. I am quite unsure as to what constitute worn rotors without weighting them.
Ive attached two pictures of the wear indicators. The surface of the disc is rough as you can see and the wear indicators are also rough.
I believe it's supposed to have a rough finish. Drive the car and look for any brake fade. The advantage of CCB long life, but from what I've been told CCB might not be as effective as steel during low track use, unless you're really hard on them.
Hoping for others with CCB experience to chime in.
The 3 x wear indicators the 120 degree angles on the edge of the disc. There's a picture of them earlier in the thread..you can put your fingernail into them ! I've seen other discs and they are much smoother
