Hi All

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2015 R8 v10 with CCBs. I am quite unsure as to what constitute worn rotors without weighting them.
Ive attached two pictures of the wear indicators. The surface of the disc is rough as you can see and the wear indicators are also rough.

The car has less than 5k miles

Does anyone know what this means??

I believe it's supposed to have a rough finish. Drive the car and look for any brake fade. The advantage of CCB long life, but from what I've been told CCB might not be as effective as steel during low track use, unless you're really hard on them.

Hoping for others with CCB experience to chime in.

Ignore the finish and thickness, you have to weigh them!

How many miles has the car done and has it been on track?

I have a full on R8 race car that has done about 3,000 miles on CC brakes and the rotors are still perfect (3 sets of pads though).

They are brilliant though!!

Cheers Ricky
