major noise and vibration when turning wheels at low speed

I have not experienced this before. But when i am making sharp turns to back up the car or park, the car is making major vibrations and noises.

i am located in canada, would temperature have anything to do with this? it seems that the noises when i turn the wheel on a dead stop have been happening when the temperature has gone down.

What's the mileage on the car? Doubt it's got to do with temperature.

I'm guessing this is worse than the quattro shudder? how long have you had the car and when did this problem start?

it feels like the wheel turns for a few seconds and "jumps", the front of the car literally vibrates. i have about 10,000kms, which is around 8000 miles? not too sure about my conversion

yeah, that doesn't sound like the usual vibrations on tight turns

This is normal Quattro behavior at low speeds and near full lock situations. Some cars do it more than others but it's normal per Audi. Any doubt, take it in and have service check it out.

I would take it to a dealer and have them look at it. There are several threads & posts about low speed shuddering due to the quatrro system when turning at turn locks.

My V10 also shows the same symptoms when turned tightly, but only when the car is cold. It is fine when the car warms up. Now that we are in Winter here in Canada, it is really noticeable.
The dealer says it is normal, but it certainly is pronounced and feels like something is wrong.
