You mean after you take the bumper off?
There are about 16 Torx T-20 screws that hold it on. Once they are out, you apply gentle pressure to the back of the grill until the guide pins come loose. After that, it's out.

thanks OEM, actually the question would be, how do you remove the front bumper?
Not that big a deal finding all of the bumper screws-after you remove the under bonnet panels, the black plastic panels attatched by the D-zus type 1/4 turn fasteners, then you'll see the bumper screws, Like Rich said, the grill can then be EASILY removed from the bumper. Now might be a good time to check your brake fluid, even the dealer doesn't go through the hassle of getting to the brake fluid reservour when they top off your fluids. Don't forget to remove the w/shieild washer filler cap before you try taking off the brake res.panel/cover.I won't mention any names , but my washer tank lid is broken at this time from a shop forgetting to remove it first. Probably will be covered under warranty-a 2.00 part. But it is noticeable.BUMPER--You CAN do this all by yourself-- but get a freindly helper ,things will go smoother/better. Lay a thick blanket down under front of car to eliminate scratches when the bumper releases and falls. You don't need to remove the headlights!! A Bently Manual,(brand, not the car)) is your best option if you are getting serious on working on the R 8s. \"/ Congrats ,you have saved at least 150.00 /hour shop rates. And you will be an even PROUDER owner.

The video he is refering to does show a little of the front bumper work, around the 3 min into the second video that is in post #23 of v8 with exhaust/ECU reflash.
I did this and as harrison says, the most important thing is to lay down a blanket for when it falls off. The hardest part for me was getting the two connectors out that are under the front valence. I'm not sure why I had such a hard time with them and there is one on each side. Also, remember which washer goes where. The washers are sized to get the seams to spec and replacing them incorrectly will give you an uneven fit. I used the diagram in the ebahn/Bentley manual.
What do you mean by the two connectors under the front valence?
I am using the Bentley (V8) manual and have removed the 3 trim pieces under the hood, the top fasteners, the 2 side fasteners, and the 7 fasteners on the bottom as per the instructions. The manual doesn't say anything about removing the trunk liner as you did in your pictures. Is that necessary?
Anyway, the top and sides are loose but the bottom is still solid but I don't see any more fasteners down there. What am I missing?
