Does your hood pop open at 3 digit speeds?

I guess I had never been over 100mph in the 6 months I have had my R8, but every time I do now, the hood pops open. Quite unerving. Anyone else have this problem?

FWIW, I find it takes a VERY firm press right at the base of the rings on the hood to get mine to latch fully. There is quite a bit of rubber weather seal which needs to be compressed. My latch has a metal-on-metal almost grinding feel for that final bit of movement.

I have fortunately never had it pop open (to the safety latches).

Sounds like you really need to get your R8 looked at if it was bad it would leak water/wind

Maybe somehow the wiring for the rear spoiler and the hood release got crossed.

Are you getting a warning light on the dash? If not, the car's electronics think it is closed, which sounds like a dealer visit to me.

Since we have an international crowd here, shouldn't we use "hood" to refer to the convertible top and "bonnet" or "boot lid" to refer to the front trunk lid?

My hood won't open fully without pulling up on it partially released and at the same time hit the key fob. Dealer can't figure it out. Anyone else? But once it is closed it stays that way.
