2nd & 3rd gear movements on shifter know

I just picked up my 2011 v10 and drove it for the first time. Wow, what a car.
However I noticed that I felt definite movements on the shifter when I let up on the gas, and also when I moved down slowly. IThis happened especially in 3rd gear and less so in 4th.
It reminded me of some old Triumph cars I had where you would feel movement in a particular gear, a sign that it was going on the bum.

I haven't felt that in a long time and was wondering if anyone out there has the same thing. I went out with the Audi mecanic, and he said he will look to see if the same thing happens with other R8's and would ket me know.

Totally normal. It's just the whole drive train moving around in it's mounts.

I figured to get this as an answer, however, I don't think it's that, as this comes with even the slightest of pedal movement. The mecanic was sitting on the driver;s side with his hand on the shifter as I drove.
It is especially significant in 3rd and non existant in 1st and sometimes in second

That's why all us TR owners are running Toyota five speeds these days.

Is normal, for the first couple weeks of driving my car was going nuts trying to figure out the clicking sound I would hear as i worked pedal. Then I realized I didn't hear it if my hand was on shift and noticed the shifter was hitting the gate making the the click sound when I wasn't holding it.

I know what you are talking about because I did the same thing and it took me a while to figure it out. But the sound you are talking about comes more when you put the brakes on and your hand moves forward with the braking motion and makes a noise as you hit the gate.
I'm talking about when you let up on the gas in 3 rd gear, and then slightly hit the pedal, you get a definite feeling in the shifter. It seems to be very definite in 3 rd gear especially.

This is also the first thing I noticed when driving my V10... I think this was the first post I made to the forum and everyone answered it was normal.

    I'm used to it now.

I'm not sure that this is the same thing that people are describing as it is hard to explain. The thing to do would be to try another v10, but it is definetely not something you feel on any other car.
Like I said in my post, I last felt this with old Triump transmissions.
In 3rd gear it is very evident just as soon as I either let up, or even tap the accelerator.

PS: did you get your mecanic to check it out?
