!!! Audi service Bulletin !!!

Hello forum members. I just received a letter from Audi subject titled: Voluntary emissions service action 28F2/J1

Vehicles affected by this action may have ignition coils that could malfunction under certain conditions. If this happens, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) will illuminate to let you know that the vehicle may experience some deterioration in performance. Please refer to your vehicle owner's manual for additional information when the MIL comes on, and if necessary, you should take your vehicle to (your) Audi dealer for diagnosis and repair as soon as possible.

The letter then goes on to tell you what to do, yada yada yada.

Just thought I'd bring this to your attention. FYI, my R8 IS MY2010 (USA)
I scheduled my appointment today for early next week.
Anyone else get this??

@ignomini... I wasn't expecting anything but a reply of some sort. Just found it amusing that there were 81 views, and not a single response is all.

EDIT: Added copy of letter to original post. Also just realized this letter was sent from my Audi dealer itself.

Sure enough guys, my MIL indicator light went on last night, and I just happened to look in the manual to discover the MIL symbol is that in the shape of a transmission. I did not know what that symbol was until now, so sure enough, this is something to keep an eye out for.
