Problem with the MMI...

I have a brand new 2011 R8 (5.2) and I've been having some trouble with the MMI selector knob. The knob allows me to scroll in a menu just fine, however when pressing the knob to select an option it rarely works. The problem seems to happen on all menus. Has anyone had this problem before? Is there a procedure I can do to reset/reboot the system? Any help will be appreciated.

I have an appointment to take the car back for service in the morning but I wanted to check here to see if there is an easy fix.

I'm getting the car ready to ship so I didn't have time to have it sit at the dealer for them to run diagnostic checks, but I'm starting to believe it is just a problem with the knob not making a good contact when pressed. Sometimes when I press the knob on the upper corner it will register the selection.

When I discover the actual problem and fix, I will update this thread just in case anyone else ever has a similar problem.

I recall the main knob is in ETKA and can therefore be replaced if it's the existing knob at fault.
