2011 R8 not reading SD card

Hey folks, I transferred my Itunes to an SDHD card and tried to play it in the R8. It recognizes that the card is inserted but does't play. Any suggestions???? PS works fine in my ford.

Are the files all no-DRM mp3's? Isn't easier to just copy folders over instead of using something like iTunes?

I had issues with an SDHC type card, merely replaced it with ordinary ( 2gb) ones

I am using 8 GB SDHCs and they seem to work well. I simply copied files (in directories by artist name then subdirectories by album titles) onto the card using explorer drag and drop in Window, not itunes or other music management software.

I think there may be a maximum number of files the system can handle.

It could well be that you are using an SD card that is larger than 32GB.

On my RNS-E (TT RS) the manual said cards upto 32GB. I thought, what do they know and spent ages loading up a 64GB card. And, yes, it no worky. Cards over 32GBconform to the SDXC which is what the unit does NOT support.
