Expansion tank leak - a recall item or just random ?

Quick question : there is a small leak along the seal in the expansion tank on my V8 (top right of engine bay when you are standing admiring her arse, as it were). Was this ever subject to an Audi recall and thus covered by warranty or am I simply the victim of the random hand of fate ?

Umm, a little confused. Just because it is not a common issue or recall, why wouldn't it be covered under warranty? Or, is your warranty expired?

U.S. car, re-exported to Vietnam. Truly gargantuan amounts of import tax heaped on top. Et voila - warranty-free despite the stupendous premium. Ain't life cruel ?
