Fuel System Mulfunction

Hi

I sold my R8 to a freind of mine and after couple of days he got a message ( fuel tank mulfunction ot tank system mulfunction ) not sure of the message exactly but fuel quantity gauge is on zaero even if the tank is full .

Anyone experienced this promblem pls. share it with me .

i had the same problem. had to do with some sensors and they were able to fix/replace it quickly under warranty. inconvenience however bc you have to bring it in ASAP as you have no idea how much gas you have.

I hope you mean 1/4 (full)...otherwise you're spending almost as much time in gas stations as you are driving

when I'm doing "spirited" driving, I reach 3/4 full in around 50 miles...or less!
driving on the "top" 1/4 would be ALMOST as bad as having a battery only electric....at least in the R8, your "recharge" (via the gas hose) takes place in just minutes!

And topping up at 3/4 would mean you're constantly dragging around a load of weight.
