Couple of questions for my R8 V8

Hi. I started to hear some noise knid of like motor or fan is running behind driver side seat (I think sound coming from engine room). This sound is on and off sometimes. Is there any parts make this kind of sound there? and how I can turn on lights in the engine room?

The engine bay lights are only on when the interior lights are active or when the coming home lights are active. Unfortunately there's no way (that's been found thus far) to keep them on all the time. Search on the subject a bit and you'll find all sorts of threads about it.

When are you hearing the fan noises? If it's when you first open the door to the car, that's the fuel pump priming the system awaiting you to start the car and go have fun (which is what you do in an R8)

It`s not sound of fuel pump. I can hear that when car is moving but somtimes it doesn`t work. I didn`t hear that before but as temperature is going down because of weather change I could hear that sound.

I opened apastic trim in engine room and I assume that sound come from that part in this picture. Any idea with that part?

I had a buzzing kind of noise from behind the driver's seat that turned out to be from an incomplete seal around the top center brake light. The dealer knew about this issue and replaced the light, which fixed the noise.

That is a picture of the secondary air pump. Generally you will hear this when the engine is not up to running temperature and then it will shut off. If the pump is dying it might make a bit of racket, but other than that it should sound like a fan when it's active.

What I heard was fan noise but I will keep it in mind thanks for good info.
