    Re: clutch

Just had my clutch changed a few months ago. If you have an Audi garage do it you are looking at £4000 for parts and labor. If you use an independant mechanic you can get it down to £3000. Parts come to about £2,400. I managed to claim the flywheel under my extended warranty (thirdy party warranty) which helped soften the blow. So total cost for me was £2000.

    Re: clutch

    hiya everyone,
    great website here = )

    i saw a V10 GT clutch on oemplus.com
if and when the time does come around for a replacement, would this work well for a V8?
i just thought if i was replacing it, might as well put something presumably more durable in.

    http://oemplus.com/index.php?main_pa...oducts_id=1190

    cheers and thanks

    Re: clutch

As I have said before, I'm no mechanic, and my knowledge of clutches is non existent, so I have a quick question, does the clutch only wear when changing gear, or does it also wear when it is fully engaged, ie. in gear

    My own view is :

Clutch pedal fully down = no wear
Clutch pedal fully out and in gear = no wear
Changing gear and engaging clutch = wear

    Thanks for helping the ignorant.
