I'm trying to figure out how to access the Basic Settings for the 02-Auto Trans module on VCDS to reset the clutch wear parameter (it's a long story about how the interaction of the STaSIS engine mgmt software and the R-Tronic module are not agreeing about how the clutch is :-() Thanks, Doug

I assume you need a password to access the module? I'm not sure the shop manual has the information you are looking for to re-"adapt" the clutch wear sensor. However, this sounds like a question requiring the talents of one of the techs on this forum, or someone who has made a deeper study of the manuals such as FiftyPence.

Thanks Desperado. I've actually sent FiftyP a PM on this. I can also have the local dealer help me as they've been working with STaSIS to resolve the problem I'm having whereby the clutch is mistakenly adapting from a reset of 6000 to about 2300 over a three week period?? From a reading taken before the S/C installation, it should now be sitting at about 5000 in reality.

It looks like the VCDS tool from Ross-Tech is very powerful. They don't want to walk me through a more complicated clutch kiss-point reset until I'm a bit more experienced with the tool :-)
