Cruise Control

OK, I'm a little confused by cruise on the R8.

On all my other Audis (RS TT, Q5, A1, S5) when cruise is selected the center part of the DIS informs or records the speed at which cruise is set.
On the R8 all im getting is just a green light on the speedo to say the system is active, its not telling me the speed its set to within the DIS.

No biggy, just doesn't "feel" right.

Car is new, its not had cruise "retro fitted" post build and im reluctant to go back to the dealers again after complaining about the front wheels/tyres jumping when on full lock only to be shown a TSB that states its "normal" on sports cars with high steering angles. (never had it on other sports cars i had, but hey). I've also seen the thread on here about the same subject (after going to the dealers) so im relaxed about that one - not happy, but relaxed the cars not going to break in two.

Any feed back would be gratefully received.

Nope, that's what you get; A symbol on the dash stating that cruise is set. Nothing more.

Don't expect the R8's infotainment apparatus to be anything like other current Audis. It's at least a couple generations old. Just picked up an S4. After learning a little about how it operates, I went back to the R8. All the newer features are a big bag of nope on the R8.

R8 uses the old canbus system - so it should have all the same features as the RS TT and A3.
Not expecting anything from the new MMI fiberbus systems.
