Newbie with a Question about UK tool kit

Hi all been searching through this forum for some time now, definitely keeps me entertained

Abit about me well I'm 22 and 2011 was a good year for my business so treated myself an have just bought a 2010 R8 V8 phantom black, carbon blades,B&O,mag ride etc, test drove a couple and fell in love straight away! Pick her up on Friday at 12 so I'm counting down the days.

Definitely like the thread "looks and stares" even noticed it on the test drive how many people stare, and I have the benefit of still being at a young age for all the females out there

Just wanted to know what exactly should be in the boot before I pick her up? I read something about a tyre sealer of some-sort? And also it's Bluetooth ready,is that just for handsfree?

    Reece

I'd check to make sure that there's a V8 engine in there. Should be easy to do so seeing as the hood lid is clear. :-D

OK, OK. Under the carpet there's a styrofoam tool kit holder. Can't remember exactly what's in it, but question any "gaps".

Can't speak to the rest of your questions, as I've a 2011 V10 US spec and I know everything can be different between markets.

Congrats on the new toy! Have fun!

Congrats and welcome to R8 ownership.

Being that young in that car's just not far to us old farts!

Don't expect a jack (lifting device). There's a section in the styrofoam for one, but it won't have one.

Bluetooth is pretty much hands free operation only. I recently (either here or maybe on Audizine?) saw a post about being able to stream audio via a Bluetooth hookup, but I don't know the specifics of how it works (yet).

    Hi Reece,

The bluetooth sounds like phone prep, which is just hands free for the phone. when it comes to music, if it has the audi music interface you can plug in an ipod or usb stick - if not, you can use a 3.5mm jack in the aux socket and do it manually or use the sd card slots behind the nav.

    here's a pic of the toolkit I got with my 2008 V8:

it came with a jack in the UK

    Hi there Reece.

The image posted by random bloke is accurate and complete, mine also has a jack. When I picked mine up it had the tyre sealant missing, cost £47 to replace from Audi dealer. Note, this sealant is a one tyre repair to get you to a tyre dealer, once there, the tyre is not repairable and must be thrown away due to the use of the sealant.

    Enjoy the car.
