    2 different TPMS answers ......

I have called 10 different Audi dealerships and half of them give me one answer and the other half give me another answer.I thought that if one or more of your tires were low of air ,you add air and then after 15 or 20 minutes of driving the TPMS on the car automatically resets itself. Some of the dealers are telling me you have to reset TPMS thru MMI and the other dealers tell me you reset thru the little window in your dash with the wiper stalk.Which is the correct way of resetting TPMS...Thank you for clearing it up.Don't know if it makes a difference but I have a 2012.

Its actually not a clear cut answer..

When I had my 2010 V10 spyder..I use to change to track rims which would light up the TPMS.When I put back the standard rims the light would reset automatically.

On my current 2011 Coupe..I need to have the dealer reset the light when I place the standard rims back on.

I have never seen or been told of any "owner" option to reset the TPMS..

Not in all R8's. Neither my 09 or my 11 have had that option available in the DIS.

My 08 would swap wheels w/o any problems. The 09 and the 11 are picky about it.

I wasn't asking the question to be a smart a** woodranch, I was asking because it's different for different regions and different models/years. So the manual would be a way to validate what you have. And a ton of people ask questions without reviewing their manuals

Hopefully you find the answer you need.
