I have a 2004 Gallardo with E-gear. I'm planning to buy a R8. I wanted to take a poll and see how many people have had clutch issues. Are there clutch issues similar to Gallardo?

What year R8?

V8 or V10?

Manual or R Tronic?

How many miles on the clutch?

% City driving versus % freeway driving?

there have been numerous threads asking about r-tronic clutch life - especially in the early days due to fears about it being like early e-gear lambos. if you search, you'll find them.

What's the most mileage from an R8 clutch so far??

There are plenty of leggy r8's out there - the bottom line is the r-tronic is not showing any sign of premature clutch wear problems.

how long dose the clutch last if you have a remap ? of course the life of the clutch will be shorter but i meen is there a big difference? any1 experienced this be4?

Clutch wear index 4200 (3000-8000) - higher number = more worn out.

Has anyone experienced a slight chatter when accelerating from a dead stop? Only seems to happen when transmission is hot and the outside temperature is in the high 80's F or above.
