This is way to much. If the wheels (rims) were included in this price I would think about it.
Back spoiler would be to big for normal street everyday driving.

I've ordered this kit since the day it was launched in September.. Been waiting for months now and honestly I'm unhappy.. The owner of prior design can't even give me pictures nor any concrete details of the kit.. Everything is so vague.. N they would not refund my money..
The kit presented at the essen show was named GT650 instead of GT850.. Apparently it's different .. When I questioned then, they said not to worry and that the kit I get will be the same as the renditions.. Still, only words so far and not a single picture.. I had to chase for answers instead of getting any feedback.. So much for paying high dollar..
I would advice those also interested in buying this kit to hold on first.. Till at least someone or me receives it.. If not till date it's just a rendition..
seems your not the only one R8GT3:

I just hope the guy has paid on a credit card(if they get the same cover as uk/us) but by the looks of that BMW thread prior designs like cash payments only I wonder why.......
Maybe R8talks members should be warned?
Sigh.. That thread pretty much describes what I went through..
Nope, prior design does not accept cards, only bank transfer..
At first they told me 5 weeks, then the next day it became 3-4months because they CLAIMED overnight they had 4-5 orders n so I had to wait.. I didn't believe it as frankly I doubt so many people would jump on a 30k bodykit .. I went with them cos I got sort of played out by ppi..
I asked for refund n they rejected. Reason being that most of the carbon parts are already completed and they said "German law" only allows refund within first 7 days. I then asked for pictures to prove to me that it's almost ready or at least the kit exists, n they said it will be displayed at essen show 2012.
Then at essen show they displayed that red R8. I asked why no vented hood? How much wider? Where's the carbon?
They said this is customers car which is going on sale so they put normal parts made of Frp and no carbon so as to save cost. They claimed that my kit will have the vented hood, cf stuff, widebody etc.. To me it's crap.. If they had produced this kit prior to my order(since they claim they sold a few overnight), I'm sure there would be pics on the net lurking around somehow.. N they would at least put a proper kit at a big show at essen..
I can only hope it really gets delivered.. Money lost I can still live with, just have to work harder n learn my lesson.. But it's the anticipation that kills.. Id rather they be honest n tell me if they are really going to send me my kit..
Once again, all fellow R8 folks here be careful n think twice before dealing with PD.. They are a very small company that I think only involves 3-4 people.. I reckon their stuff are produced out of Germany.. Probably Spain , Portugal or somewhere I'm not sure.. I've heard good stuff about their quality and that's the only consolation I've got so far..
R8GT3..Sorry to read of your situation.
I really hope that somehow things do work out correctly as they are suppose to.
I am glad that by starting this post it has possibly educated others and provided some transparency for you on what I would imagine has been a very frustrating time since placing your order.
I still love the rendering drawings and I still think it is one of the best aftermarket kits that might never be available?
Also did anyone ever find out the status of PPI?

If you took those renderings to custom shops they would build it for you. I've had custom work done in past was around a $2400 for a custom backend was 80mm wider each side from the start of quarter panels back, wheel arches, and boot with brake ducts and metal works including paint.
R8GT3 I can only hope you get something even if its badly fitting at least it can be worked to fit.
Maybe one of the german members could visit PD and see where R8GT3s kit is and ply a little pressure.
Thanks all for your concern..
To be frank I love the R8 very much and thus have been very willing to spend on it..
I own a LP560 and a Nissan GTR as well, while both cars are faster than the R8, they just don't provide the finesse and balance the R8 has..
Thus some may find it silly as to why I spend money on modifications that are actually costing more than the car.. Reason is the R8 is downright beautiful in every way and worth the extra penny to me..
As to shed more light on this matter regarding prior design, I did have a friend pay prior design a visit.. He told me there's actually nothing there.. It's a very small garage/company.. They outsource their stuff and basically nothing is produced in-house.. This was when the owner asked my friend to view the car at essen show to "prove" that it exists.. But it's pretty crappy to me because they displayed a somewhat different variant at the show..GT650 instead of GT850, something not even listed in their catalogue..
Thus I've given up all expectations and am currently looking to build it up with LMS parts.. If the kit comes, it would be a bonus and maybe I could sell it if its decent..
Also another feedback to you guys regarding PPI.. Some of our members here seem to have problems with them.. My buddy had pretty much the same situation.. He managed to buy the rear diffuser successfully from them(I think ppi had them in stock).. But after that he paid deposit for a bigger order, which I assume parts were not in stock, and the fate is the same as many because there's no response after payment made.. Think my friend is one of those facing this MIA situations too..
So I guess for most fellow R8 owners here, my humble opinion would be to buy from a really active and reputable company, or buy parts that are in stock (from the quieter sellers).. R8 parts are generally not cheap and I think we need to be more cautious..
Cheers..
Yeah I google mapped the place looks really rough The LMS will look good too![]()
