    Spent the morning redrawing the factory Audi R8 knob in Solidworks.

    heavy r8 shift knob.jpg Got rid of the knurling that eats up your hand. I also made it to work with the factory shift pattern insert and not allow the shaft to thread up into the knob so deep, thus making the OAL of the shifter a little higher for better steering wheel to shifter manipulation. Now to 3d print one and then cut one! going to be one heavy ass knob too making it in 303ss vs factory one being aluminum.

    Lol... you sound like me... Have Solidworks, 3D printer and CNC machines... Is that the default render you used in Solidworks? Looks good; I normally use Keyshot for the renders.

    Yep I played with it awhile to get it the way I wanted it. Looks like it will be thursday before I get a quote back got a bunch of guys from another page wanting some too so we could be pretty reasonable for sure.
