Remove the front license plate?

Is there a bracket that I can order without the front license plate? My Audi dealer wasn't certain and my R8 came with a front license plate on it. And naturally I want to get it off.

I just called my dealership to order a front plate mount for my R8. I got pulled over twice in less than 10 minutes this weekend because I don't have a front plate. The car came without the front plate mount and now I think that was a mistake.

In Oklahoma you don't have a front plate. I picked up my RS4 and it had the spot for the front plate, I had the dealer change it for no cost, it was his bad.

well the good thing is, unlike a ferrari
the R8 actually doesn't look too bad with the nys license plate in the middle

To get the front plate holder, you have to purchase an entire grill. About $575-600, depending on where you shop...
