I like to look of the hood without the rings...I made an attempt to remove them and they seem like they are welded on! The old dental floss trick was no match for the rings. Does anyone know how to remove these without damaging the paint? Thanks!

Audi dealers remove them to install the clear 3M PPF masks but I don't know how.
I used fishing line, is strong enough to cut the glue between the emblem and hood.
Then I used 3m glue removal.
Power is nothing without control.
Pour boiling water on the badge, I've found that goes a long way to soften the glue before using floss

wouldn't the hood look a little bare without it?

I like the rings. I'm proud of what Audi has done and continues to do. It's a statement that Audi continues to reach for the pinnicle of automotive design and construction and I feel the same way. I want to drive the best.
