    Re: R8 Front-end Lift

isn't that just a spanner-change kit on ebay rather than a remote on-the-move hydraulic lift kit?

    Lightbulb Re: R8 Front-end Lift

We sure would NOT want to end up with an inferior handling car !!!!!!!!!!!! If we find a kit that lowers the ride height a bit,is a handling improver like the H&Rs and raises to higher than stock at a flick of a switch...GREAT.But the rear would need to be lowered and stiffer to match. If you raise the rear you are lowering the front as well.

    Re: R8 Front-end Lift

Looks like PPI have made a height control system for the R8

Can't find it anywhere but here http://www.ppidesign.com/flash/ a popup should come up with it on

Adds 45mm to the height, can be front end only, both front and rear and can also work on R8's with magnetic ride

Would be something I'd give a lot of consideration.

Actually, if you put in the KW HLS system, the mag ride still work fine. They have 2 different types of lift, 1 is using the existing suspension system, the other is they change it to their KW coilover

    Re: R8 Front-end Lift

PPI's system lifts 5mm higher So much better! Actually one bit says 45 one bit says 40, so confusing!

    Smile Re: R8 Front-end Lift

Unless you are LOWERED , have front SPOILERS, or really nasty bumps, you probably don't need the lift. Besides , most R8s have a RUBBER lip that would only scrape lightly. I joke that the few small scrapes I have encountered ---scraped a thousand bucks EACH time, off RE-SALE asking price !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some Lambos come with the lifters from factory. Those Lambos have no rubber , just painted solid body panels.
