    What Side Blade Color?

Hi guys, Will be collecting my R8 (v8) in a couple of weeks time. It's stock set up, Ibis White with Ice Silver side blade. Am thinking of changing the color of the side blade to something more "pronounce". Hence, would like to find out from fellow owners on which side blade color looks best.

    1) Daytona Grey
    2) Lava Grey
    3) Brilliant (Piano) Black

    Suggestions? Thanks for commenting.

The strong contrast with a dark blade looks great with ibis and keys in well with the black trim, so the black would be my choice from that list - the carbon blades look good too (especially if you like the added texture).

It has to be carbon for me but any dark colour would work well. I just find the ice silver over ibis white to be too bland for my liking.

I would go for the carbon fiber blades.

Didn't know they made the blades in piano black but IMO, it would looks like plastic.

Thanks guys. Carbon Sigma is indeed one of the best choice but I find that a rather common mix and hence, looking for something slightly different and "individual". I am inclined to go Brilliant Black and blend with the rest of the air vent trims.

I was also thinking why there isnt any unique trim like brushed aluminium side panel, like those found in interior trim.

    Re: What Side Blade Color?

you could always get the blades vinyl wrapped in whatever finish you want - plenty of decent shops out there offering that

A matte or satin black blade might look good.
This could be wrapped or painted of course.
I know you want something different, but carbon looks
    best IMO.

I am with you I went with a black blade because it seemed like most white/blacks I saw were the carbons. I liked the phantom because it seemed to shine more...
